Alias: Dhaevos
Alignment: Anti Hero
Starting City: New Carthage
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Physical description: Dhaevos is about 5'7'', and has wings with a span the same as his height, but he generally keeps them tucked tight, even when not wearing something to cover them up out of a force of habit, and instinct. The only time he spreads them is in flight, or if threatened or threatening someone/thing. When he is comfortable enough he will also flap them when annoyed. The feathers on his wings are long and raven black and almost touch the ground when he has his wings tucked. Dhaevos has equally dark, straight black hair that falls down to his shoulders and deep set, ice-blue eyes. He is toned, though not particularly muscular. The strongest muscles in his body are probably the ones used by his wings.
Costume: Dhaevos wears a large black Death Angel (acid rock band) t-shirt to which he has cut a slit in the back for his wings. He also wears large dark stonewashed jeans with the bottom of each leg cut off so that they come down to his ankles rather than dragging the ground. He uses a spiked black belt to keep the pants up as they are a bit loose. He is surprised the belt works so well given that it didn't seem to be helping the guy who wore it before him at all. His sneakers are white with red accents. He doesn't like them very much but hey, they're shoes.
Biography: He woke up in an alleyway just a few short days ago. He was barefooted, dressed in the remaining shreds of a plain white shirt and pair of pants, and unable to remember his own name. Even now he still remembers very little. Greatest in his memory are, lots of water, a giant explosion, IV’s, and a display with the letters DH-AEV-OS. He took these letters to form the temporary name Dhaevos until he can remember his real name.
After waking, he wandered around until he saw a guy about his age trying to harm a 12 year old girl. Instantly his protective instincts kicked in and before the guy knew what hit him, he was out cold. He tried to ask the girl where her parents were, but realized he couldn't speak. He attempted to sign to the girl, but she didn't understand him. Still, he waited with her until her mother returned. Not wanting a scene, when the mother returned he grabbed the still unconscious guy and flew off to a nearby building to trade clothing with him, using the guy's pocket knife to cut a slit in the shirt for his wings to fit through. From there he heard the girl tell her mother about “The angel with the black feathers!” Somehow this made it to the news, and two days later Dhaevos saw an article in a discarded paper with the headline reading “Syren! Defender of children!” The name seems to have spread, and Dhaevos, who just wants to be left alone to figure out his past, is not happy about it.
Dhaevos has very little interest in doing things by the book. He has an unusual drive to protect the helpless and he will do whatever it takes to that end. He doesn't like to be around too many people, and it is difficult for him to open up, even when around someone who can sign. When he does make a friend, he is loyal to a fault. He has a paralyzing fear of water, and he will take you down if you ever try to come at him with a needle.
Additional notes: Though he cannot speak, he has a very musical laugh and can grunt, groan and make other basic sounds. This will be explained in more detail later.
