Irax had gotten somewhat used to breathing in the buckets of heavy Earth air, although he always felt as though he were breathing water. Except breathing water was impossible. Earth was a strange planet with strange colors. People lived on the surface of the planet, and the air surrounded the planet looked blue... except it was clear. Or sometimes there were isolated puffs of gray dust storms high up away from the planet that sometimes caused droplets of Earth water to fall to the ground. And the people were also tall according to Martian standards, he was finding out.
Irax had first arrived guarded (to make sure he wouldn't run? Harm anyone? My, these people were suspicious of him...) yet at the edge of the city the guards just stood there, leaving Irax to walk in by himself. He was at Silent Falls now for sure, and he had nothing to do but walk down a street. Passerby were stopping to look at him, the strange red alien walking casually down a street as though he was an everyday occurrence. Irax was trying to ignore the stares. He had little idea where to go, so he supposed that he would wander around until something happened to suggest otherwise. "Hero" means to defeat villains, yes? So it is like war, a war that Irax was uncertain how to join, although he had a feeling he'd already been signed up. He was here in this human city, Silent Falls, after all, sent here in order to prove himself somehow. Sometime. He wasn't sure what he was supposed to be doing precisely, or where he was supposed to go. That thought almost ticked him off; Adults were supposed to take care of kids, right? But then he remembered, partly amused and partly sobered by this, that he was considered just 'Martian', and age between species was irrelevant. He remembered that even if he was home- ...on Mars, he was not considered a kid, but a criminal. Irax would rather be considered alien than criminal, and trusted rather than mistrusted. Although the latter would be a long time in coming, for sure. Even if news of what he did in Silent Falls reached the first town he'd been in, it would take a lot to convince them of his integrity, if possible.
The stares were getting really annoying (and a bit uncomfortable, he admitted to himself). He had never been around as much people since when he first crashed, and he had been feeling much too sick then to care about the probing stares burning into his skin... though now was a different story.
...Earth was frustrating.

[Titan]

Titan looked at the small red alien. he didn't look too threatening, but countless stories and movies about invading aliens made him on edge. well, the best way to find new allies is simply to introduce yourself. who knows, this could be my first new ally in this city.

Titan held out an un-gloved hand. "I'm Titan. I'm new here." he paused, then asked "Who are you?" in a friendly manner.

Irax stopped as a tall threatening figure approached him. He tensed, wary at first, unsure what to expect, but relaxed when he realized that this person may be the queue that would tell Irax what to do next. Eventually. Maybe. At least it was easier to ignore the stares when engaged with something else specifically.
The man held out an arm and introduced himself. Irax thought Titan- yes? Titan was his name? - sounded friendly enough, so perhaps he was here to help. Unsure of what the extended arm was for, Irax ignored it. Titan asked who Irax was.
He would give the man the name that would be most recognizable, if at all. "Mars," he said. There, they were acquainted. Now for specifics. Irax started to speak again, but stopped himself, nearly having spoken in Martian by mistake. He thought about what he wanted to say, and what English words he knew to communicate it somehow, and then began again. "....How... I begin work. Fight villains. Be hero. Good words?"

[Titan]

The small alien ignored the hand, and holding it out was beginning to be awkward to hold keep holding it out, so he put it down. The alien introduced himself as "Mars." plain, simple. Titan enjoyed the simplicity of it in fact. The alien spoke, obviously his English was rusty. "I'm headed to the defenders of the earth. good. be hero. fight villains." He gestured towards the D.O.T.E. HQ.

Yes! Some information! Some place to start! A name. A name of a place, as Titan had gestured. It was a small victory, but one that he took gladly. Defenders of the Earth. Sounded like an organization that would, well, defend the earth. A place with heroes, like Titan said. So since Titan is headed to that place to be a hero, fight villains, be good, Mars- ...Irax could do the same.
"I go with you," he said, "Let me follow?"

[Titan]

Good. this alien was able to understand him well. "Yes, You follow." Titan smiled at the pleasant little alien. "Lets go." He walked off towards DOTE HQ.

Irax exhaled in relief. It was nice talking to someone amiable and to get something done. After a moment, he remembered to nod, one of the few Earth gestures he knew to mean confirmation. Irax smiled and followed Titan to the Defenders of the Earth Headquarters, keeping pace.
