The Library

[Akai Kaji]

The library, center of all the information that has been gathered by heroes and pooled together in this vast store of knowledge. There are many books, though also computers storing expansive terabytes of information. This is a place where heroes can do some research or hang-out and chill.

Akai sits at a desk, pouring over computer files and books, searching for something, but so far, she's had no luck. People mull about minding their own and enjoying the library.
A perky librarian walks up to Akai wearing a cheesy smile,
"I'm sorry miss Kaji, we don't have any books on that topic, perhaps you'd like me to search under a different key word?"
Akai pauses a moment to stare at the perky librarian before shaking her head with a sigh, "No... that's fine. I don't think you'll find anything if I can't."
"You're still searching aren't you?" The librarian cocks her head, her smile fading.
"What do you know about it?! Akai snaps, slamming a book shut and glaring.
"Nothing! It's just... you come here a lot... searching... searching for that something or someone," Puts her smile back on and bows slightly, "I'm sorry, excuse my miss Kaji, I ought to be getting back to work!"
The librarian quickly walks off, leaving Akai to continue her research.

Several minutes pass silently as she works. A picture suddenly pops up on her computer screen, the face of some person. Akai is shocked, though anyone wouldn't be unable to tell if her face shows joy or anger.
"So you're still alive?" she mutters.
Akai quickly hits 'print' and snags the picture from the printer, closing the computer window and stuffs the picture into her pocket.

[The Ninja]

"Don't be too hard on her. She's just doing her job." The Ninja stepped out from behind the book case and set down the book on the history of Silent Falls he had been scanning.

"I couldn't help but notice you seemed to be looking for someone. Perhaps I could help." He let out a small laugh. "Sorry. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Kyle." He was wearing all of his costume except the head piece but wore a Defenders of the Earth jacket to portray a less flamboyant image to the recruits and heroes.

[Akai Kaji]

She blinks, furrowing her brow before bluntly introducing herself, "Akai." She pauses a moment, thinking,
"Well I suppose you could help... maybe. Depends on if you've heard of "Cold Rock', it was town... before it the whole place burnt to the ground."
She crosses her arms and sinks back into her hair, brooding on some distant memory for a moment, "Ever heard of ghosts Kyle? Or... I guess just people who evade death despite all odds. Y-know, the people who should have died, but appear out of nowhere again alive?" Shakes her head, "Sorry, I'm thinking aloud here."

[The Ninja]

Kyle frowned. "Cold Rock... No, that doesn't ring a bell."

He picked up the book again and idly flipped through it. "But yes, I have heard of these ghosts. They say there are some people who have been chosen--sometimes by God, or by fate, or just luck. But these people have some purpose, be it for good or evil, and the powers that be cannot let them rest until that purpose is fulfilled."

Kyle smiled grimly. "Listen to me ramble. And you think your thinking out loud is bad. Well. If you ever need a friend to help you lay one of these ghosts to rest, you can count on me. This sounds intriguing."

He snapped his fingers. "You know, there is one Hero who could help you. She goes by the name of Digibyte.EXE... You know, like a program on the computer. If you need information, Digi can get it for you. At least that's what I hear."

Kyle stretched and then began walking away, hungry for a burrito. "She lives in New Carthage," He called over his shoulder. "Good luck with your ghost hunt!"

[Akai Kaji]

Muttering to herself, "Digibyte.EXE? New Carthage, hmm... maybe..."
Makes messy pile of her books and pulls more off of the shelves looking up New Carthage. Abruptly, she gets up and leaves, heading for New Carthage.
