Stakeout Musings [Open]
Grimm City was not the best place for an antihero to be.
Honestly, it wasn't place for any hero to be, anti or not. Not that Sadie considered herself either an antihero or a hero, of course. She was just thinking in generalities--living in a city filled with villains and masterminds and mad geniuses wouldn't be good for anyone's health whether or not they were guilty of causing a lot of trouble for the some of the most powerful evil people in the world.
Leaning back against the rough brick wall of a factory, Sadie watched thugs of various sizes and shapes as they meandered around the entrance to the Domination's headquarters. Some thoughts running around in her mind were You're an idiot to even think about trying this, Get away from here before you're noticed, and Obviously you have a death wish. She ignored them all, and stayed relaxed in the shadows of the huge building she'd chosen as her stakeout area.
Annilluminate was waiting.
OOC: Feel free to post, anyone. I didn't really have a plot idea in mind when I was writing this, so if anyone wants to they can be the person Annilluminate is waiting for. She's just planning to shadow the person to wherever they're going and possibly attempt to stop any evil action they intend to take. It's her good deed for the day.

OOC: you seem stuck here, no one's posting...
BIC: Lord Machina arrived in Grimm City early that morning. he stood atop a building, looking over the delicious little bottle of chaos. he licked his lips, this could be fun. he flexed his muscles, then jumped off the building into a dumpster. lets see... He looked down the alley, what could I do? this was a city Lord Machina had not been to in a long time. five years, if he remembered correctly. what could be in store for him here?
Lord Machina emerged from the alley, and crossed the street without looking both ways. a car nearly hit him, but it stopped suddenly at a flick of his eyes. the passengers were thrown forward, and they were all unconscious. Lord Machina just kept walking.

Re: Stakeout Musings [Open]
Only minutes later, Sadie was... bored. Apparently evils didn't run on very tight schedules. Or they were just antisocial. Or they were having some kind of meeting or something. Either way no one was really coming out, and her plan to stir up trouble for the baddies was being slowly ruined. Mentally, Sadie was berating herself for wasting her time in the alley and not going and doing something more productive. Even storming the headquarters itself would be more entertaining than just waiting. But still she waited, feeling too lazy to move.
Suddenly a commotion distracted her from the focused and important process of being lazy (hah). Screaming and yelling and general loud noises had erupted further down the alleyway, which lead into one of the main streets of Grimm City. Huh. Her interest perked, Sadie stuck the gun she'd been playing around with into her belt and sauntered out into the sunlight looking like every other normal citizen of Grimm City. Albeit a gangster-ish, somewhat scary looking citizen, but a normal citizen nonetheless. Gangsters and scary people were normal here.
The first thing that met her eyes was a car filled with unconscious (or dead, she couldn't tell) people. The second was a black-armored, weird-caped old guy who apparently still believed in kings. Sadie could put two and two together. Rolling her eyes, the teenage girl yelled at the man. "Hey! Oi! What do you think you're doing?"
OOC: Well, Taylor was going to make a baddie and reply in a bit. But thanks, haha!

Re: Stakeout Musings [Open]
Blade Wing watched what was going on from the roof of a nearby building. Her wings were folded behind her (Or folded as much as they could without cutting into herself), and her tail swayed behind her every few minutes. She had been out to fetch some obscure item for Dr. Nameless, for one of his 'evil' inventions, but when she heard the commotion going on, she landed on the building to watch. And perhaps even join in if it got bad enough...

Re: Stakeout Musings [Open]
A small blonde girl wearing all black walked out from around a corner. Lord Machina's eyes lit up. he lifted the car of unconscious people, turned it upside down, then threw it a good twenty feet in the air. he reached his arm out for dramatic effect, and feigned "catching" the car full of citizens in peril. he held it up menacingly, threatening to drop it. he did this, because he knew the girl was special. not from the clothes she wore, those were very common in this city, even years ago. the mask was the same. what struck him was that --though she had an appearance of a girl from a fairy tale, she had a nonchalant air. more than that, she was defiant. she was ready to deal some damage, despite her stature.
Lord Machina smiled, he grinned wide and glared with lightning in his eyes. "Just here to stir up some chaos." he let the car sag a few feet, licked his lips, "I like chaos. it stirs up the emotion. lights a fire in the belly. if you let it roar, it gives a feeling of power coursing through you." He lifted the car back up again. "Anarchy," he said, with a look of bliss, as if the word was a sweet nectar, "Anarchy is the soul of chaos." He balled his fist, again for effect, and the car slightly crumpled. "You wouldn't happen to have anything to say about that, would you?"

Re: Stakeout Musings [Open]
Blade Wing drew in a sharp breath. The man, the crazy guy, was toying with a car full of unconscious people, and threatening to kill them all, and only to satisfy his desire for chaos!
Angry, she spread her wings to their full length with a metallic zing. Leaping from the building, she flew down to the car, and landed on the roof. She broke the glass of the drivers seat with a jab from the point of her left wing, then started to unlock it, so she could pull the people out.

Re: Stakeout Musings [Open]
is it my fate to be constantly attacked by those of metal? Lord Machina thought glumly. they are the easiest to deal with. not a good challenge. he sighed, letting the strange "metal demon" pull people from the car. when she was finished, he lobbed the car at a nearby building casually. he appeared calm for a moment, then struck out the girl. he gasped, she was harder to move than he expected, but that was no matter. he threw himself into the blow with more focus, pinning her to a building. interesting, part metal, part organic. far more fun than robots. he kept an eye on the blonde girl, making sure she didn't try a sneak attack.

No sooner had Blade Wing finished pulling the people to safety than car was thrown into a building, bursting into flames. Then she was pulled into the air, and pinned to another building. For a moment she was stunned. Then, recovering, she started to struggle, her tail thrashing wildly. "Let me go."

Re: Stakeout Musings [Open]
OOC: Sorry guys! Will post sometime within the next hour or so.
*EDIT*
“Just here to stir up some chaos,” the guy said. “I like chaos. It stirs up the emotion. Lights a fire in the belly. If you let it roar, it gives a feeling of power coursing through you. Anarchy… Anarchy is the soul of chaos. You wouldn't happen to have anything to say about that, would you?"
Sadie rolled her eyes. Gosh, she was getting tired of the whole drama banter thing that followed villains around like a bad penny. And those stupid, stupid people! Why in the world would anyone choose to live in Grimm City? It was full of dangerous people, dangerous… things. Even Sadie didn’t like her chosen hometown for the most part. She was just here to have fun stirring up trouble of the opposite intonation. She didn’t care about who got in the way, really. But still she had a sharp intake of breath when whoever it was somehow controlled the car… and crushed it a little.
“Enough already with the theatrics,” Sadie said, appearing bored, but ready to move if the guy tried anything. Suddenly, from out of nowhere (well actually, from a rooftop, but it was cooler to say from out of nowhere), a giant whatchamacallit flying robot girl thing came down and started helping the people in the car escape. Sadie held her breath for a few minutes as she crossed her fingers in hope that the bad guy (honestly, she didn’t know what else to call him) wouldn’t react. And he didn’t.
Until she was finished. And then, casually, like it was no big deal (it probably wasn’t, to him) he threw the car against the wall and pinned the girl against the building. Seriously, if she wasn’t already used to the whole weird-creepy-unexplainable power kind of thing, Sadie would have been slightly creeped out by now. But she was.
“Let me go!”
A yell from the direction of the robot/girl/thing drew Sadie’s attention away from her thoughts on creepiness, and she sighed, but automatically threw herself into action. “Anarchy… It’s a stupid idea,” Sadie said, yelling above the noise and bustle of the city, her demeanor cocky and nonchalant. “So cliché. Where are you from, the eighteenth century? It’s soooo outdated by now.” Her words rang loud and clear in the square. Meanwhile, she carefully approached the villain, taking care to stay out of the paths of vehicles – she’d seen what that guy had done to the car. Sadie wasn’t taking any risks. Oh right, Annilluminate. Because she was doing the good stuff now. Sadie sighed. Fun.

Re: Stakeout Musings [Open]
Dr Nameless marched through the glum streets of Grimm City, his shoulders hunched forward and fists pressed against his sides, expressing his displeasure. That sidekick should have been back at the base 5 minutes ago, and he specifically said for her to come back within 2 minutes! Incompetence these days with these teen sidekicks running about. Up ahead he saw a random lackey lounging about a doorway, chewing on an apple. Without missing a beat, Nameless flipped out his laser pistol, set it to it's non-deadly setting, and shot the lackey straight in the chest. He continued walking, while snatching the apple in midair as the lackey toppled over, and bit into the red fruit. He brooded over what lectures he should rattle into his sidekicks ear, when he heard commotion up ahead. Normally, he'd ignore such things, since commotion was a normality in Grimm. However, hearing the taunts of a woman's voice piqued his interest. Only heroes would come up with witty banter against a villain. Weaving through the alleys, he made his way out into the open, where an villain was showing off his powers--typical in this city--and a young woman was walking toward him, clearly a fight of sorts. Nameless was pondering if sticking around to be entertained was an option, when he noticed his sidekick BladeWing being pressed against the wall in some kind of super villain hold. Great, now he was going to have to save his sidekick somehow. He took another bite out of the apple. "Ehh--Errm-emmmm...yes, hate to interrupt but," Dr Nameless lifted his index finger, "I hate to notice that you have my sidekick pinned to a wall rather evilly, " he motioned to Bladewing with the pistol he still held, "and for the sake of villainy could you merely...release the little grub so we all can go about our business? Me with my planning and you with your...little...hero incident here."
Was he actually concerned about his sidekick? Sure. Was he ever going to openly express that, PHHHT of course not.

Re: Stakeout Musings [Open]
Lord Machina looked at the man, he didn't seem imposing in himself. However, the gun he carried obviously did not fire bullets. honestly, Lord Machina could care less about the metal demon. this man called her his sidekick. the worst that could happen was she might get disciplined. he grunted, and gently tossed her at the man's feet. he made sure to send a piece of the car's hood (which had fallen off when he crumpled it slightly earlier) to himself before she hit the ground. he had it ready as a shield in case of his retaliation.
"I was provoked." He yelled over. he then proceeded to throw more cars about, scaring more people.

Blade Wing landed on all fours as she was set down in front of Dr. Nameless. "Thank sir..." she mumbled before standing up again. She glared in Lord Machina's direction. She couldn't do much now, since Dr. Nameless was present, but she still didn't appreciate what the psycho was doing at all.

Re: Stakeout Musings [Open]
Dr Nameless arched a brow at Lord Machina. Some villains had big anger issues, though it wasn't a surprise, his neighbor Snakvillo would scream murderously at every living thing that crossed his path... Made sense though, if he had a name like Snakvillo he'd be angry all the time too. He took BladeWing by the arm, not too harshly, and glanced at Lord Machina with little intrest. "MMM, yes eh, I see. Well go on with your little....provocation rant and we'll be on our way. Come sidekick." He proceeded to start dragging BladeWing away from the scene with a huff. They've already wasted enough time as it was and the Weapon-Name-In-Progress #22 wasn't nearly finished.
