OOC: Girls, girls, you're both pretty! lol ^_^ Sorry I couldn't get on yesterday. Weirdness at home. As to Xan's comment about misinterpretation, I blame the media! Anytime you see the aloof, loner type guy start to take interest in any girl, it must be love. ~eye roll~ Heh, Cub's seen Dhaevos in love, so she can attest, Dhaevos gets more awkward around girls he likes that way, not more confident.

IC: Dhaevos, who had been chuckling quietly at Cub's remarks, stopped when he heard his friend mention 'allies'. Allies for what? Achilles must have some kind of plan in mind. He considered asking, but since the crazy one had vanished he didn't want to distract. Besides, he couldn't be sure just what the guy intended to do.

That thought in mind, Dhaevos leaned against the cave wall, closing his eyes. Though he appeared to have just let his guard down even more, the actuality was that he was purposefully focusing on his hearing and keeping himself safe from being attacked from behind. It was hard to tell where he was at the moment since the scraping sound he was making was reverberating all through the cave, but from what he'd seen, the guy was far from quiet, and he'd be certain to know if he got too close.

Cub cringed putting her hands over where her ears were under her hat. "why in the world is it needed to do that?" she half growled as she felt her ears being blown by the scratching noise. she couldn't stand loud noises. she had been to a few clubs in her time and made a point of stuffing cotton in her ears and even then the noise was far from pleasant. she wondered what all these two specials were about to do. she didn't think she was in danger at the moment, however if needed she would defend herself as well. she didn't want to but she would.

OOC: My personal opinion? Unless a thread is literally a private thread, no thread is exclusive. ^_^ Don't expect your character to be welcomed readily by all the charcters here though, given their temperments. lol. I think every character in this thread is pretty well on edge right now. Look forward to seeing your work Lumen ^_^

IC: Lumen was getting discouraged.

"Where is it?" he muttered to himself

He was looking for the infamous Caves of New Carthage. A friend of his from the VBM (Villain's Black Market) told him about the Caves just before Lumen left.

And he wasn't going back anytime soon

Following the murder of the Doctor, Lumen was no longer welcome in the certain place's he usually visited.

Ah there it was. The Cave loomed ahead of him looking ominous in the afternoon light.

"Well," Lumen said to himself "better check it out."

As he walked toward the entrance, he heard a scraping noise.

OOC: Hey Lumen, I promise you this thread was not this boring two weeks ago. lol ^_^ With his excellency on vacation, and with both he and Xan comparing teeth, we seem to have kind of gotten stuck. Also, with my younger sis getting married in about a week, I haven't been on nearly as much of late either. Anywho, that being said, I think while we wait for these two to throw down, perhaps we should make some trouble of our own, eh? ~grin~

IC: As the scritching continued Dhaevos began to get more and more anxious. He didn't mind enclosed spaces, so long as he had something to do, but with Achilles and the insane one more or less circling one another, there really wasn't anything, and Dhaevos was beggining to feel more than a little constricted.

Just as he was considering bolting and finding the nearest exit, he heard something. The sound of footsteps echoing down through the cave. Had he not been paying such close attention to the noises around him, he would have missed it entirely. He opened his eyes and looked toward the source of the sound. How far away was this person? Who were they? A threat? An ally? Only one way to find out.

He looked over at Cub who was still holding her ears, or at least, he assumed that's where her ears were. He caught a flash of silver at her hip. Hmm... Perhaps she could help in this minor investigation. He tapped her on the shoulder briefly and put a finger to his lips before walking away toward the new noise, and its source.

she was more then thankful for the distraction away from the noise. while it was a new noise that caused the distraction she could live with this one. it was just simple foot steps. nothing her ears couldn't handle. she nodded and followed the angel. she kept herself light on her feet so she made as little noise ad possible in the cave. being she did this for a living it really wasn't that hard. she wondered who in their right mind would be all the way out here... oh wait... oh who was she kidding there was no way any of them were in their right mind.

IC: without warning a wall slammed in front of Cub. followed by one on her right then left leaving only her backside open. (ooc i never said who i would be attacking...)
All around the cave, walls appeared until the place was a labyrinth of walls.
suddenly a dagger flew past cub's ear.burying itself in the shadow wall.

Lumen looked into the cave, half expecting the person making that terrible noise to come out and attack him.

Walking in, he noticed that the scratching sound was coming from one of the walls.

"Hello?" he muttered just loud enough for the thing making the noise to hear. In the same tone he whispered again "I haven't come accross one of you in a long time"

Xander ceased his scratching and released his Invisibility charm. Looking to the newcomer, he cocked his head and raised his sword. The guy looked like he just walked out of a formal dinner, not someone who would be lost in the woods. That meant he was here on purpose. Not good.

Xander walked toward the guy, keeping his sword at chest height.
Watching the guy's hands he started the interrogating him
"Who are you? And what the heck did you mean by that?"

OOC: ~grin~ Finally! Some action ^_^

IC: Dhaevos jumped back as walls shot up around him, blocking his route to the newcomer.

On foot anyway he thought. He unfolded his wings and flew up, settling on the top of the wall he could best see everything from. The clearance was just enough for him to stand upright without hitting his head on the ceiling. He decided it would be best to just watch for now, though he watched Crazy and Newb more than anything. That guy was too volatile for him not to.

Cub felt annoyed annoyed when when the walls out of nowhere popped up creating a maze of the cave. was this really needed? she stepped back and looked around before noticing Dhaevos from above. good a plan as any. she bent down then started triangle jumping the walls until she reached its top and balanced herself on its edge. she looked over the maze for a moment her mind creating a map of it before she jumped back in and took off running for the other side. sometimes photographic memory was a good thing.

Lumen smiled at the now-visible sword-guy, who was pointing that sword directly at his chest. Raising his hands, which was much more threatening than the dude realized, he answered his previous questions.

"I'm John, and you," he pointed passed the sword "are another invisible."

Hearing a noise, Lumen half turned towards the back of the cave, still keeping his hands up.

"Who or what is back there?" he pressed the sword-guy. Lumen thought he caught a glimpse of a moving shadow, but he wasn't quite sure.

OOC: and really Xander? We're making fun of the way I dress?
